Hector is passionate about the prevention of sudden cardiac arrest(SCA) among youth. He is co-founder of the Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation, which is an organization named after his son who was lost to SCA at the age of 15.  The foundation is located in San Diego and is dedicated to bringing awareness to SCA by providing cardiac screenings to young people, placing automatic external defibrillators, and legislation.  He has had a full career in state law enforcement and genuinely believes that life is better when serving others.

 

Interesting Facts About Hector:
  • He hiked all 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and would like to hike to base camp of Mt. Everest.
  • He enjoys exercising and is always looking for a physical challenge.
  • He rarely is without music, especially Latin jazz, RnB and Classic Rock, even at his office.
