Save lives with community-wide
AED programs

Via Heart Project, founded in 2010, works with schools and communities to implement and maintain Automated External Defibrillator (AED) programs. With over 800 AEDs in California schools and a total of over 2,200 AEDs managed worldwide, we are experts in how to successfully create and manage public access defibrillator programs. Watch the video below for a special message from our Founder, Liz Lazar-Johnson, on the importance of community-wide AED programs and awareness.

Via seeks to increase the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) by implementing comprehensive maintenance and compliance AED programs, offering CPR training.

Via Heart project was founded in 2010 as a way to help schools and businesses with AED maintenance and compliance.  We held our first amazing screening event in 2015 and went on to hold 24 additional screenings until our last event in 2022.
